Selecting Photos for Lifeogeny

Find Tips for Selecting, Sizing, Positioning, and More

Imagery matters! In order to help you make the most of the images you upload to Lifeogeny, we put together this quick-tips sheet.

The image used on both the experience card and your Host profile is the first thing that will grab a user’s attention. That’s why we encourage you to take a minute to read through these tips before selecting your image.

Tip 1:

Your image should reflect your experience or who you are as a host accordingly. Subject matter….well, it matters.

Tip 2:

While words in your image are discouraged, carefully placed words may not distract from the quality of the content. Careful placement of your sign, logo, etc. can work to amplify your brand.

Tip 3:

When naming your image to save, you need to avoid special characters as this will cause the image not to load correctly into the mobile application.

Tip 4:

The image size should be limited to 550 x 550 px and 750KB to 850KB.

Tip 5:

Make sure to check the copyright licenses on the images you use.

Tip 6:

Ensure you select the area of your image that you feel best reflects what you are trying to convey.

Tip 7:

You may wish to use a resource, like Canva, to quickly and easily size and position your image.
